In the run-up to the Iraq war, Americans believed, and some still believe, that Saddam Hussein was developing weapons of mass destruction, and had something to do with 9/11 and the anthrax attacks. Unfortunately, none of those accusations were true.

John McCain, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton all have bona fide war criminals acting as their foreign policy advisers, so the prospect of having any of these puppets can unfortunately mean only one thing for America: more war. Let's make sure that we, as Americans, are able to successfully identify the war propaganda the next time our elected officials try to sell us another disastrous war.

Step 1: pick your people (this is usually done for you)

Step 2: make sure the enemy is dehumanized

Step 3: reinforce the differences of the enemy

Step 4: control the media

Step 5: show the enemy in actions that seem militant or different

Step 6: create an us vs. them mentality

Step 7: use nationalistic slogans

Step 8: align goal of war with higher deity

Step 9: make sure troops are not dehumanized

Step 10: create an atmosphere of fear and instability
