A Republican Congressman has recently warned that President-elect Barack Obama's alleged call for a civilian national security force might lead to a Marxist or Socialist police state comparable to that of Adolph Hitler or Joseph Stalin.
"It may sound a bit crazy and off base, but the thing is, he's the one who proposed this national security force," Rep. Paul Broun said of Obama in an interview Monday with The Associated Press. "I'm just trying to bring attention to the fact that we may — may not, I hope not — but we may have a problem with that type of philosophy of radical socialism or Marxism."
The controversial idea of a from Obama stems from a campaign appearance. Watch the following video.
So Obama actually said that the US needs an equivalent of the Nazi Brownshirts running around fighting terrorism in the 'homeland,' but this mostly Republican/conservative outrage is being falsely attributed to him. The actual concept of the civilian national security force comes from a book called The Plan: Big Ideas for America, written by his White House Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel.
In a now famous article titled The Book of Rahm, columnist John Walsh reveals some startling information written by Rahm, the Little Ballerina (yes Emanuel used to be a ballerina):
"We need to use all the roots of American power to make our country safe. America must lead the world's fight against the spread of evil and totalitarianism, but we must stop trying to win that battle on our own. We should reform and strengthen multilateral institutions for the twenty-first century, not walk away from them. We need to fortify the military's "thin green line" around the world by adding to the U.S. Special Forces and the Marines, and by expanding the U.S. army by 100,000 more troops. We should give our troops a new GI Bill to come home to. Finally we must protect our homeland and civil liberties by creating a new domestic counterterrorism force like Britain's MI5."
Pretty intense stuff, and it sounds like it could have been pulled directly from Hiter's Mein Kampf.
While the once mysterious former Congressan, Rahm Emanuel has largely flown under the radar of public scrutiny, his recent appointment to run the White House under Obama has sparked the public's interest. It has led to a frenzy of online searches to find out exactly who he really is. What they are most likely finding is probably not exactly what the Obama campaign is wanting his supports to discover.
Emanul has served as a volunteer in the Israeli Defense Force (IDF), at a time when the US was fighting Iraq in the first Gulf War. This has sparked a controversy among those who believe that the US is involved in Middle East conflicts that are against the interests of the average American, and mostly for the benefit of Israeli interests. Of course this leads one to believe what country is he serving: the United States or Israel.
Emanuel is also the son of former Israeli terrorist who was a member of a criminal gang in the 1940s called the Irgun which was labeled as a terrorist organization by the British authorities. While he was on record as a gun smuggler, the Irgun. This information is readily found among Israeli and Arab websites, but the senior Emanuel's Wikipedia page has mysteriously been deleted.
Rahm Emanuel's father has also sparked a controversy by his statement when asked about his son's recent appointment.
"Obviously he will influence the president to be pro-Israel," he was quoted as saying. "Why wouldn't he be? What is he, an Arab? He's not going to clean the floors of the White House."
In addition to the mainstream media treating Obama as he were a messiah coming to save America from the evil clutches of the Bush Administration, the media has also put out similar propaganda on the no-nonsense tough-guy for the brainwashed masses. Attempts to whitewash Emanuel's sketchy past seem like the slick work of Madison Avenue professionals as his family's colorful history are played and spun with great success.
So in sum, one has to wonder, with all this baggage (and this doesn't even scratch the surface), why would Obama even choose such a person for his Chief of Staff?
